Can't I just upload my profile to my LLM of choice?
You wouldn't trust a personality assessment that hadn't been tested for validity and reliability. So why trust an interpreter that hasn't been?
Frontier AI models have read everything ever written about psychometrics. But reading about it isn't the same as being validated to do it, anymore than reading the flight manual means you "know" how to actually fly the plane, or memorizing anatomy and physiology means I would let you operate on me. Without testing to confirm, it's just a theory. And, no one has tested these models as interpreters for accuracy or consistency.
